Swimming Pool Guidance

Guidelines
Adults are classified as 16 years and above. Children under 8 years of age must be accompanied by an adult in the water at all times. The following restrictions apply:

Small / Learner Pool

• Under 4 years - 1 adult to 2 children
• 4-7 years - 1 adult to 4 children
• Combination of ages - 1 adult to 3 children

 

Main Pool

• Under 4 years - 1 adult to 1 child
• 4-7 years - 1 adult to 2 children
• Combination of ages - 1 adult to 1 children

 

Working on the advice of the Institute of Sport & Recreation Management all children up to 3 years of age must wear special swim nappies before entering the pools. These are available for sale at reception.

Aquafit classes can be attended by anyone aged 14years and over

A wide range of swimming items are available for sale from reception

Please call the Leisure Centre during School and Bank Holidays as the timetable may be altered to meet demand.

We don't just teach little-ones to swim, hundreds of grown-ups learn with us each year too - It really is never too late.
