Swimming for over 60s

We regret to inform our customers that following the recent announcement to remove the free swimming grant for the over 60’s by the Department of Culture, Media and Sport, this scheme will unfortunately come to an end on:

Saturday 31st July 2010

The options for people who were previously entitled to free swimming are:

• Payment of £1.90 for each swim
• Purchase a book of tickets £19.00 (12 swims for the price of 10)
• A pre-paid membership option – from £17.95 per month, allowing unlimited access to Public Swimming, Gym and Fitness Classes.

All customers who are in possession of a 60+ (green) active card must continue to swipe at reception to ensure they are charged the correct concessionary price.

We understand that this announcement may cause disappointment, however it is beyond the control of both South Gloucestershire Leisure and South Gloucestershire Council.
